Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine

Dr. Lessner is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopy. After completing medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center he completed his general orthopaedic residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City before heading to Cincinnati for a sports medicine fellowship. His fellowship included active participation as an assistant team physician for the Cincinnati Bengals and The University of Cincinnati sports teams. He also had the opportunity to serve as a physician for men’s and women’s professional tennis and sand volleyball tournaments. After completing his training, Dr. Lessner is now returning home to the Dallas area to begin his practice. He lives in McKinney with his wife Beth and their two children. Dr. Lessner is trained in all areas of orthopaedic care, but his special interests lie in care of athletes of all ages and levels as well as advanced arthroscopy and reconstruction of the shoulder and knee.
